Glass Types

ROTTERDAMSCHE GLAS CENTRALE B.V. stocks float glass and coloured float glass in a range of thicknesses.

A small example of our assortment:
Clear Float glass: 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 19 mm thick.
Bronze Float glass 4,5 and 6 mm thick.
Grey Float glass 4,5 and 6 mm thick.

Clear Float glass is available in a range of thicknesses and up to the following dimensions: 6000 x 3210 mm.

Coloured Float glass is available up to the following dimensions: 3210 x 2250 mm.

The glass panes are cut to size in our workshop; customers can pick them up or they can de delivered. Not only can we can supply you with straight panes but also with panes cut from a model.

The types of glass mentioned above can also be produced with the following edge finishings:

Polished edge: The edges of the glass are polished so that they are no longer sharp and look neat.

Beveled edge: An oblique edge is cut into the glass; this is often used for glass table tops.

Drilling holes: For example, when a ventilator needs to be built into the glass, we can drill the necessary holes in various diameters.

Sandblasting: If you’ve always wanted a beautiful design on your window, we can sandblast various designs for you onto the glass.

Film application: We can apply various kinds of safety films to new as well as existing windows, from simple matt films, sun protection films to burglar resistant safety films.
