Burglary is a very common problem these days.
What can one do, for example, to prevent a burglary, without having the impression of living in a concrete bunker? Burglar resistant glass makes it possible to protect your property to a certain extent against burglary.

Experience shows that this glass can be a highly reliable safety measure. Various insurance companies and urban developers are increasingly prescribing the use of burglar resistant and/or safety glass.

Discreet security:
The advantage of Remcosafe® burglar resistant glass is that it is discreet and compared with traditional glass it gives the same transparency and appearance.

Composition:
Remcosafe® burglar resistant glass is constructed from at least 2 layers of glass with a layer of foil in between, this means that it does not break when shattered and virtually no holes can be made in it.

Application:
The degree of burglar resistance is determined by the number of millimeters of foil and glass. When attacked a star shape is produced.
The level of damage inflicted depends on the thickness of the glass pane and the object used to cause the damage.

Standards:
The standard indicates how resistant the glass should be in a certain situation. Depending on the place where you want to install a burglar resistant window we will advise you on the correct composition.

Different standards exist for burglar resistant glass. There is the European standard, the En356, this divides the glass into different classes ranging from P2A to P5A.

To ensure the safety of a subject the risks need to be optimised whereupon advice can be given about which class is most suitable, this very much depends on the location of the subject and/or what one has for sale.
